Rosa (Marie Nasemann) and Gabriel (Eidin Jalali) are the fictional understudies in the operetta "Die Fledermaus." They act as a backup team and are present at rehearsals every day. The two are also a couple in real life but are in the midst of a relationship crisis. Rosa has big career plans and starts an affair. Gabriel wants to find out with whom and feels overwhelmed by the many changes. While everyone is preparing for the big premiere, the two try to salvage their relationship somewhere between the dressing room and the orchestra pit. When Rosa finally discovers she's pregnant, the situation escalates.
