A college student brings her new boyfriend to her hometown over Christmas break. Upon arrival, she introduces him to a befriended couple: two guys, who she both dated in high school. Things go about as well as can be expected.
College student Alex brings her new boyfriend Robert home over Christmas and confesses that they will encounter her two ex-boyfriends Nick and Sam at a party, who are now dating each other! All of them share an awkward interaction, resulting in Alex and Nick taking off to the balcony. Nick interrogates why she would be with someone like Robert, who he thinks is a tool. Later, they drunkenly philosophize the origins of the pain within a person. Robert shows up and he and Alex leave.
Studentin Alex bringt ihren neuen Freund Robert über Weihnachten mit nach Hause und gesteht ihm, dass sie auf einer Party ihre beiden Ex-Freunde Nick und Sam treffen werden, die jetzt miteinander ausgehen! Es kommt zu einer peinlichen Begegnung zwischen allen vier, die damit endet, dass Alex und Nick auf dem Balkon verschwinden. Nick fragt sie, warum sie mit jemandem wie Robert zusammen ist, den er für einen Idioten hält. Später philosophieren sie betrunken über die Ursprünge des Schmerzes in einer Person. Robert taucht auf und er und Alex gehen.
